A 5th-generation Colorado native, Woody grew up raising Simmental cattle on the high plains southeast of Denver where he developed an abiding interest in ranching and land use. With a unique expertise in conservation easements, his brokerage work has focused on land stewardship, regenerative agriculture, and maintaining working landscapes. He is actively involved in the management of his family’s hay ranch in Summit County, where he initiated a successful commercial hunting operation. Ever curious Woody spent the better part of a decade exploring the mountains and streams of Montana and the Pacific Northwest while attending college and graduate school. Formerly a Senior Project Manager with the Trust for Public Land, he is the founder of a renewable energy development company in Denver. Woody’s passion and depth of knowledge have informed a diverse professional background, including commercial real estate development, outdoor education, backcountry/river guiding, and endangered species and public lands advocacy.
